Comfort, style and seating for seven
We stand behind all of the models we sell at Darling's Hyundai and we don't think you can go wrong with any of the vehicles that Hyundai is currently manufacturing, but for those of you who need a little extra room, the Veracruz is the way to go. Our customers are always impressed by just how much style and comfort they're getting in such a reasonably priced vehicle. Typically the only regret they have is that they didn't discover it sooner.

Dressed to impress

The 2011 Hyundai Veracruz  is an exceptional vehicle and a stand out in it's class with features like three-beam projector-style halogen headlights and a detailed hoodline which set the tone for a sleek and modern exterior. With wide-stance, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels (18-inch on Limited), convenient roof rack side rails and dual heated power side mirrors the exterior design is as stylish as it is functional. Not even the windshield of the 2011 Veracruz has escaped the attention of Hyundai engineers. It's made from a solar control glass that repels UV radiation which helps to keep the interior cooler on brutal sun-baked days, and reduces the need for air conditioning. From the very beginning, Hyundai engineers knew the Veracruz had to be special. It not only had to please the eye, it had to withstand test drives of over 100,000 miles, through some of the ugliest conditions on the planet. After this grueling series of tests, the vehicles were disassembled and parts were inspected under a microscope. Each one was examined carefully, looking for insights that could enhance quality or reliability. The result is a vehicle worthy of Hyundai's 100,000-mile warranty.

Sounds great
When you choose the Limited Veracruz with the available navigation system; you can also opt for the audiophile-quality 10-speaker Infinity surround sound audio system. Each speaker has titanium-laminated drivers, which reduce distortion to nearly unmeasurable levels, and, along with the LOGIC7™ surround sound circuitry, reproduce sound with unparalleled fidelity. At Darling's Hyundai, we've seen more than our share of automotive audio systems , each one touted as the best, but this one deserves to be ranked near the top.

Tech savvy, without being complicated
Simple and intuitive are two often-overlooked measures of luxury. The Veracruz offers a single-touch Bluetooth® hands-free phone system, and straightforward iPod®/USB and auxiliary input jacks that allow you to plug in your iPod, hit play and go. Also mounted in the center console, the available LG navigation system has a 6.5-inch touchscreen LCD, an integrated CD/DVD player that can play music while the navigation system is in use, and a full map of the U.S. Many small details, from the placement of buttons and dials to the positioning of vents and handles, have been carefully considered and optimized, informed by the latest in ergonomic research.

Like riding on a cloud
The interior is as purposeful as it is sophisticated. With a reinforced dash panel, four layers of insulation underneath the carpeting, and an electronic motor mount, the Veracruz has been carefully engineered to effectively minimize engine noise and vibration in the cabin. The combination of these and other sound dampening elements help to give it a very quiet, refined ride. Thanks to low door sills, expanded head room, and larger doors, getting in and out is a breeze. In fact the Veracruz has 150-plus cubic feet of total interior volume, more than the Mercedes GL, yet its total length is ten inches shorter. That tidier length helps give the Veracruz a smaller than normal turning diameter: a mere 36.7 feet.

Safety First
The Veracruz continues Hyundai's tradition of safety with a host of highly innovative passive and active safety features. This isn't just a premium crossover vehicle, it's a benchmark. The
Veracruz ABS is enhanced with Electronic Brake-force Distribution. Together, they seamlessly vary and adjust brake pressure to each wheel as necessary to provide maximum braking power
during emergency maneuvers or under slippery road conditions. Brake Assist is another innovation that can sense a panic stop and automatically apply maximum braking power to shorten your stopping distance. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control System (TCS) work in tandem to prevent skids and maintain traction, and to keep the vehicle under control even in difficult conditions. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration calls ESC the single most important safety advancement since the seatbelt. If widely deployed, it could save 10,000 lives a year. So significant, it will soon be the law that all carmakers make it a standard feature. Needless to say, it's been standard on the Veracruz for years. The unibody on the Veracruz starts with thousands of precise welds. The more welds, the stiffer the frame and the less chance of body roll. Combined with a wide track stance and advanced suspension, handling and stability are greatly enhanced. For straight protection, the high tensile steel unibody has also been carefully engineered with bodyside reinforcements, hood-buckling creases and crumple zones that shunt impact forces around the passenger cell. It comes standard with six airbags: advanced dual front and front side-impact airbags, as well as roll-over sensor side-curtain airbags that extend to the third row. The front airbags adjust their deployment speed automatically based on impact speed and seat position. Additionally, there are LATCH child seat tether anchors, an energy-absorbing steering column, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System that can help prevent dangerous underinflation.
